KOGLAMUN

Inactivated polyvalent vaccine

Koglamun. Instruction manual

Contains anatoxins (alpha, beta, epsilon) Clostridium perfringens type A, C, D.

The first vaccine against all serotypes of Clostridium perfringens.
Maximum protection against Clostridium perfringens type A and C.

Koglamun is a sterile suspension for injection of a yellowish-brownish color. When storing the vaccine, stratification is allowed, with the formation of a milky precipitate, which forms a uniform suspension when shaken.

The vaccine is used for prophylactic purposes to immunize sheep and pigs against infectious diseases caused by Clostridium perfringens (type A, B, C, D).

Vaccinate only healthy animals, starting from 2 weeks of age and older. For adult animals and young animals, the vaccine is administered subcutaneously twice with an interval of 4 weeks in compliance with the rules of asepsis: pigs – in the neck (behind the ear) or from the inside of the thigh in a dose of 4 ml – the first time on one side, and the second time on the other side of the body. Revaccination is carried out in the same doses – once a year.

In order to create colostral immunity in newborn animals, sows are recommended to be vaccinated in such a way that the second vaccination is carried out at least 2 weeks before farrowing. Further, revaccination is carried out every cycle at least 2 weeks before farrowing.

Vaccination of piglets from vaccinated queens is carried out starting from 8 weeks of age, and from non-vaccinated ones – from 2 weeks of age.

The vaccine has immunogenic properties against toxins produced by Clostridium perfringens type A, B, C, D. One immunizing dose (2.0 ml) of the vaccine contains anatoxins of Clostridium perfringens, causing the production of antibodies, in the amount of:

α-anatoxin ≥ 2.0 IU/ml

β-anatoxin ≥ 10.0 IU/ml

ε-anatoxin ≥ 5.0 IU/ml

Immunity of sufficient intensity is formed in vaccinated animals on the 14-20 day after the second vaccination and persists for 10-12 months.

The shelf life of the vaccine is 24 months from the date of manufacture, subject to storage conditions in a dry dark place at a temperature from 2oC to 8oC.
