IVERMEK OR

Description

Product for oral use against red chicken mite with broad spectrum effect against ecto- and endoparasites. Ivermek OR is a clear, colourless to light yellow opalescent solution, easily miscible with water.

Packing: 500 mL plastic bottles, sealed with plastic tamper-evident screw-on caps.

Pharmacological properties

The drug has a strong antiparasitic, insecto-acaricidal, and insecticidal effect on larvae and imago of nematodes, lice, keds, gamasids, and sarcoptes scabies (incl. red mites). Mode of action: ivermectin affects the magnitude of the chlorine ion flow passing through neural and muscle cells of a parasite. The main target of the drug are glutamate-sensitive chlorine canals, as well as gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors. By changing the course of the chloride ions flow, the drug disrupts the nerve impulse conduction, thus causing paralysis and subsequent death of parasitic agents.

Indications

Ivermek OR is prescribed to prevent or to treat the following animal diseases caused by arachnids, insects, and nematodes:

  • for hens (i. e. broilers, breeding poultry, replacement animals, and shedding poultry), to treat ascaridiosis, heterakidosis, capillariasis, or myiosis caused by Dermatoryktes mutans, Aphaniptera spp., Menacanthus stramineus, Menopon gallinae, Ceratophyllus gallinae, and acariasis caused by Dermanyssus gallinae and Knemidocoptes mutans.
