Solution for external use
Neostomozan. Instruction manual
Active ingredients: transmix, tetramethrin.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacotherapeutic group of the drug: an insectoacaricidal drug of contact action.
Transmix and tetramethrin, which are part of Neostomozan, belong to synthetic pyrethroids, the mechanism of action of which is to block the conduction of a nerve impulse by changing the permeability of membranes to sodium ions, which leads to irreversible paralysis and death of parasites. Synthetic peretroids are means of contact action, active against sarcoptoid, ixodic, demodectic mites; lice, fleas, hair eaters, blood-sucking insects and zoophilic flies.
indications
Neostomozan is used to combat ectoparasites of animals, as well as to kill flies in livestock and utility rooms.
Neostomozan is used for cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, dogs.
METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE
Neostomosan is used in the form of an emulsion, which is formed after its addition to water. The working emulsion is prepared immediately before use. At the same time, the volume of the aqueous emulsion required for processing and the amount of the drug required for its preparation are determined.
When preparing large volumes of working emulsion, the calculated amount of Neostomosan is thoroughly mixed with 10-20 liters of water, and then after the formation of a stable emulsion, it is poured into a sprayer tank or a swimming bath, water is added to the required volume and thoroughly mixed.
The working emulsion in a dilution of 1:1000 is prepared at the rate of 1 liter of the drug per 1000 liters of water. To prepare a 1:200 working emulsion, 5 ml of Neostomosan is added to each liter of water.
The aqueous emulsion of Neostomosan is prepared in a dish not intended for food purposes. The treatment of animals is carried out outdoors at a temperature not lower than 18 ° C or in well-ventilated rooms with open windows (panes).
Before mass animal treatments, each batch of the drug is tested on a small group (10-15) of animals of various fatness. If the animals do not show signs of toxicosis within 2 days after treatment, the entire livestock is treated.
For the treatment and prevention of sheep psoroptosis, the fight against ixod mites and other blood-sucking insects, Neostomozan in a 1:1000 dilution is used by bathing in a swimming bath, or spraying with a consumption rate of 1-2 liters per shorn sheep and 2-3 liters per untrimmed sheep. The exposure during bathing is 60 seconds.
To maintain the necessary concentration after bathing 200 untrimmed or 400 shorn sheep, water is added to the bath to the initial level and Neostomozan at the rate of 100 ml for each newly added 100 liters of water.
After bathing 3000 sheep, the remaining emulsion is drained into settling wells, preventing environmental pollution, the bath is cleaned of dirt and filled with a newly prepared emulsion.
Sheep with psoroptosis are treated twice with an interval of 7-10 days, suspected of the disease – once. Against ixodic mites and insects, treatments are carried out once, repeated treatments are carried out according to indications, but not more than 1 time in 10 days.
Sheep are treated in dry weather at the temperature of the bathing emulsion in a bath of 20oC – 25oC.
Sheep after treatment should be kept for 1-2 hours on a special site for the emulsion to drain.
It is not recommended to process lambs in swimming baths after weaning together with lambs.
In farms unfavorable for sheep psoroptosis, livestock premises are treated in the absence of animals with an aqueous emulsion of Neostomosan (1:1000) with a consumption rate of 300-400 ml / m2 of the treated surface.
Cattle and horses, when affected by insects, ixodes and sarcoptoid mites, are sprayed with an aqueous emulsion of Neostomosan in a 1:1000 dilution.
When spraying, it is necessary to moisten the entire body of the animal, especially carefully treat the areas in the ears, limbs, abdomen and tail.
The rate of consumption of the working emulsion, depending on the weight of the animal, is 10 ml / kg, but not more than 4 liters per animal.
Repeated treatment with entomoses and lesions of animals with ixodic ticks is carried out according to indications, with sarcoptoidosis – twice with an interval of 7 days.
Pigs with sarcoptosis and hematopinosis are sprayed with a working emulsion of Neostomosan at a dilution of 1:1000 with a consumption rate of 3 ml / kg, but not more than 300 ml per animal. The treatment is carried out twice with an interval of 7-10 days.
At the same time, the working emulsion of Neostomosan is treated with surfaces in rooms in the absence of animals with a consumption rate of 300-400 ml / m2, where pigs are kept.
Dogs with entomoses (lice, fleas, hair eaters) and sarcoptoidoses are treated with a sponge, thoroughly wetting the entire surface of the body with Neostomosan emulsion at a dilution of 1:200 with a consumption rate for long-haired breeds of 10 ml / kg, for short-haired breeds – 5 ml / kg of animal weight.
With entomoses, the treatment is carried out according to indications; with sarcoptoidosis – twice with an interval of 7-10 days.
In order to prevent the emergence of fleas and reinvasion, litter is replaced for animals or treated with a working emulsion of Neostomosan on the reverse side, and then washed with detergent.
To control flies in feedhouses, dispensaries, artificial insemination points, machines for keeping newborn calves, on farms and complexes for fattening cattle and pigs, animal farms, stud farms and other objects of veterinary supervision, Neostomozan in breeding 1:1000 is used in the absence of animals by fine-drip application on surfaces (walls, ceiling, equipment) with a flow rate of 60-80 ml/m2.
At the end of processing, the room is kept closed for 1-1.5 hours, after which windows, doors are opened and ventilated for 30 minutes. The dead flies are swept away and disposed of. Feeders and drinkers are thoroughly washed with a slightly alkaline soda solution, after which animals are introduced into the room. Repeated processing of premises is carried out according to indications.
In summer camps, flies are destroyed by selectively applying an aqueous emulsion to the inner and outer surfaces of walls, canopies, pens and other places of insect localization.
